The
Gateway Course
In this class, George Wilson offers
participants the first step in a cosmic journey. By now almost
everyone has heard of the powers of the mind. There are hundreds
of courses that "teach" the principles based on so-called
facts that the author has read, but almost none of them can
be demonstrated beyond question. The Gateway (tm) is a course
that not only gives that undeniable proof, but also teaches
WHY it happens. In other words, if you know the rules which
govern the universe, you can change the universe. In this
course you will learn the basic rules of existence in order
to change your life to become whatever you want. You will
learn to access the "Cosmic Internet" so you can
answer whatever questions you have (you won't become "wise
swami's overnight, but you will be given the wherewithall
to do so). As proof that it's true, you will "work a
case" meaning you will see and diagnose a person anywhere
in the world. For more information or to register call George
Wilson at (703) 637-0353 or vmac1@cox.net. |

Movie: “Rachel
Carson’s Silent Spring”
Many regard Rachel Carson as the mother
of the environmental movement. Her New Yorker magazine series,
published in book form in 1962, put the world on notice to
the devastating effects of chemicals spewed into the environment
and especially pesticides such as DDT. In the process, Carson,
previously a little-known biologist, was revealed as a heroic
crusader. “Silent
Spring” put her at the epicenter of an intense controversy
and subjected her to withering attacks from industry and
government. She was threatened with lawsuits and derided
as an “hysterical woman” unqualified to write
such a book. A huge counterattack was led by Monsant, Velsicol,
American Cyanamid—indeed, the whole chemical industry—supported
by the Department of Agriculture and many in a cautious media.
There’s room for 40 persons, but 25 seems like a better
fit. So space definitely is limited. Please reserve your
spot by e-mailing me, Ed Bruske, directly at euclidarms@yahoo.com |

Capoeira
Angola
Capoeira Angola is an African Brazilian
martial art form characterized by such dynamic movements
as cartwheels, handstands, spinning kicks and spontaneous
acrobatics. At its highest level of practice, capoeira is
considered an improvisational conversation between two bodies.
The operative sensibility is very similar to a jazz performance.
Capoeira Angola has its roots in Bantu tradition and was
used by the enslaved Africans of Brazil as a form of revolution.
In keeping with African war strategies, Capoeiristas masked
the art's effectiveness from plantation overseers. The International
Capoeira Angola Foundation teaches all aspects of this complex
art – the movements, the music, the history, the traditions,
the philosophy, bringing it all together on the first Sunday
of each month with a roda or circle of Capoeira play. Visit www.capoeira-angola.org for

Codependents
Anonymous
Co-dependency is an emotional and behavioral
condition that affects an individual’s ability to have
a healthy, mutually satisfying relationship. It is also known
as “relationship addiction” because people with
codependency often form or maintain relationships that are
one-sided, emotionally destructive and/or abusive. Co-Dependents
Anonymous (CODA) is a 12-Step fellowship of men and women
whose common purpose is to develop healthy relationships.
The only requirement for membership is a desire for healthy
and loving relationships. We gather together to support and
share with each other in a journey of self-discovery -- learning
to love the self. We rely upon the Twelve Steps and Twelve
Traditions for knowledge and wisdom. These are the principles
of our program and guides to developing honest and fulfilling
relationships with ourselves and others. By actively working
the program of Co-Dependents Anonymous, we can each realize
a new joy, acceptance and serenity in our lives. Visit www.codependents.org for

fees. Regular volunteer hours are on Saturdays from 10-3
